The community garden was started in 2010 as a place for people to have their own garden plots.  Last year a few people took the opportunity to have their own gardens for the very first time.  However, the bulk of the gardening was done by a group from the church who used their harvest to provide fresh produce to local food pantries including the one at our church.  This year we will be offering the same opportunities… Garden plots for families (with a suggested donation to cover costs of water and tilling) as well as an opportunity for the community to join with us in providing fresh produce for those who are hungry in our community.  Last year we harvested over 1200 tomatoes and 1500 peppers, we look forward to increasing our production and variety this year.
